The Turning lives at the place where two vast worlds meet. On one side, black sand and crystals: the grounded, ancient magic of a shoreline that has weathered everything and is still here. On the other, the infinite depth of galaxy and open ocean, swirling together until they become indistinguishable. And between them, white seafoam, that soft, fleeting thing, dissolving one world into the other.
I wanted to hold both at once. The healing that the ocean carries, that primal pull we feel toward water, the way it washes something loose in us. And the wonder of deep space, that breathless feeling of smallness that somehow makes everything feel more meaningful, not less.
This piece is not about choosing between them. It is about the turn, the moment the tide shifts, the moment the familiar becomes something new. The push and pull of the universe, steady and ancient, happening with or without our permission.

Shipping: Every piece is carefully packed in a specially designed, thick cardboard box lined with multiple layers of corrugated foam to protect it in transit. You then have the option to choose between a white glove private courier delivery, or, shipping via USPS/FedEx/UPS.
The private courier option is more secure, and I strongly recommend choosing this option, especially for larger pieces. I will not be responsible for any damages that occur during shipping, and you agree Addison Kanoelani is not liable for any damages during shipping. If you choose this option, a private driver will deliver the art to your chosen location and can help unbox the work there for you.
How do I care for my piece? Keep your piece out of direct sunlight to preserve the botanicals and avoid humidity extremes. Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. These pieces are built to last and the materials are sealed and protected — but like anything made from nature, they deserve a little care.
Will the flowers or crystalized items fade or deteriorate over time? Preserved botanicals are treated specifically to extend their life far beyond their natural state — but because they come from the earth, I want to be honest with you: I cannot guarantee how long they will retain their appearance indefinitely. What I can tell you is that I am intentional about which botanicals I use and how I preserve them, choosing materials that hold their color and form best over time.
With proper care — keeping your piece out of direct sunlight, away from high humidity, and in a stable environment — your botanicals should remain beautiful for many years. I'll always share specific care recommendations for your piece based on the exact materials used.
Part of what makes these works meaningful is that they're made from real, living things. That authenticity is also what makes them precious. They are meant to be cared for, the way anything rare and natural deserves to be.
Are the crystals genuine? Yes! I am lucky enough to live in a place with an abundance of crystal and stone resources. If you have any preferred sources, I am happy to work with them.
Do you offer returns or exchanges? No. Due to the amount of time and emotional and spiritual energy put into every work, I do not accept returns or exchanges.
