Saltwater Constellations

Saltwater Constellations explores the liminal space between who we were and who we are becoming. In this piece, the ocean and the cosmos dissolve into one another, reflecting the quiet threshold we stand in when transformation begins. The manta rays move through illuminated waters like guides—whether higher selves or unseen protectors—leading us gently through darkness toward our becoming.

Real orchids, celestite, aquamarine, and quartz are embedded in resin along a textured plaster shoreline. Fiber optic lighting evokes both distant stars and the bioluminescent glow of night beaches, blurring sea and sky into one continuous expanse.

As with the Thresholds collection, this work honors the in-between—where identity softens, fear loosens, and something new begins to take shape. It is a reminder that even in uncertainty, we are being guided.
